OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM
Andrew is seasoned professional who provides an experienced interface between the building services
installation and construction teams.
He is regarded by consultants, contractors, clients and end-users alike as an effective trouble-shooter and an expert in system design and commissioning management, with extensive site experience including NEC contracts utilising the NEC Supervisor approach.
Trained in both Mechanical and Electrical
disciplines he is able to converse and challenge at all levels to ensure that the projects he leads are successful.
He has led a number of major projects throughout his career, including the British Library, the British Museum and Barclays Bank Data Centre.
Before launching BMS Consulting in 2015, Andrew was the Building Services Leader for Laing O’Rourke’s northern region, a role where he achieved a career pinnacle of collecting the Construction News - Outstanding Achievement Award for his contribution to the Manchester Town Hall Extension and Central Library refurbishment project.
Simon has gained extensive experience in the delivery of many major building projects across a diverse range of sectors.
He commenced his career in building services as a pipefitter welder, installing piped services systems, after 5 years as a site installer he then moved on to become a site engineer, supervising and managing M&E services installations at site level, he did this for a period of 7 years before moving into the design side after successful completion of academic qualifications. Simon has been on the design consulting side of building services for a period of 17 years.
Simon is responsible for the delivery and overseeing the technical design on projects delivered by the profession from initial concept design, developing the design brief, through to delivery.
Simon is very much a design led engineer with a strong focus on delivery quality, technical excellence, knowledge sharing and standardisation. He believes this can be achieved on each project by effective communication within Design Teams and with Client representatives.
David is a professional operations director & engineer with over thirty years’ experience working within the BMS and consultancy industries in both the UK and overseas.
He has successfully delivered many projects throughout his career including Norfolk & Norwich Hospital, The Trafford Centre and Lincoln University.
Before joining BMS Consulting in 2017 David worked for Sweco as the resident M&E consultant on the prestigious No.1 Spinningfields project, and latterly the new Astra Zeneca project, where he worked on the fire alarm cause and effect specification.
Andrew is an experienced building services engineer adept at leading projects through feasibility, detailed design, commissioning and validation. He has developed a robust understanding of design, build and energy management through exposure to a diverse range of sectors including life sciences, food and historic buildings.
Educated at Loughborough University, he has always dedicated his career to the latest technical developments within the industry. Together with a significant number of years employed by Oxford University, Andrew used this experience to launch a freelance venture 20 years ago.

BUSINESS & SUSTAINABILITY DIRECTOR
Glenda graduated from Salford University with a BSc Honours Degree in Social Policy and Counselling in 2011.
During her studies, she developed a passion for social value which makes her ideally placed as our sustainability lead.
She has recently established our corporate partnership with the Manchester-based #GMYN charity which provides opportunities for young people.
We are currently exploring ways of supporting the charity to allow them to continue delivering the great work that they do in the Greater Manchester area, with plans for a Coast to Coast bike ride later in the year.
Glenda ensures that our business contributes positively to both the environment and local our community.
She is also responsible for the day to day running of our business, including finance and administration.
Hannah joined the team in August 2019, and works across all 5 businesses as our business manager. With over 7 years experience and a previous working background in the National Health Service, there is no doubt she brings excellent organisation skills to an extremely fast paced working environment.
During her daily duties in the NHS, Hannah studied and qualified as a level 3 business and administration manager which has meant different structures and fresh ideas have been brought to the team.
Hannah is responsible for the day to day running of the business which includes general housekeeping, finance and administration.
