BMS Consulting were appointed to provide a full project management service for Shure Europe GmbH on a technically challenging building systems upgrade at their European distribution centre in Eppingen, Germany.

The project involved surveying an existing installation comprising a comprehensive building management system (BMS) and a separate PLC-based lighting and solar shading control system. In addition, the building’s security systems were brought into scope following our initial assessment, ensuring a coordinated approach to all critical building services.

One of the early challenges was the highly integrated nature of the original “early smart building” installation. The system featured bespoke integration between multiple control platforms, with minimal available record documentation — and what documentation did exist was in German.

All reports were delivered in both English and German to ensure effective communication with the client’s German-based technical team and local contractors.

Following contractor appointment, BMS Consulting have been working closely with the selected specialist to develop the detailed design, with our team responsible for reviewing and approving all design documentation to ensure compliance with the client brief and industry best practice.
